First Annual Barlow Bike Tour

Our neighbors organized a bike and beer tour, so naturally, we got a babysitter and joined the fun. We were a bit ambitious and decided to ride to the first stop (most drove), which, despite only being 3.5 miles away, added 8 miles to our journey.

By the time we arrived home, 7 hours and 22 miles later, we were exhausted ... and just in time for driveway movie night at our other neighbors house.

 Eloise started sitting on the potty! And she started dunking her PB&J in her yogurt.

 Natalie challenged Daddy to her first game of Othello. They tied.

Zoo!

Eloise and mommy tried to make the most of the last of the Spring weather and went to the zoo with our friends Staci and baby Camilla (who is just a few months younger than Eloise).

Mommy had to take a real quick selfie to prove to Eloise that she existed in her childhood since there are very few instances when mommy is not behind the lens.

This was the most exciting thing I have ever seen at the zoo... these two love birds were sitting right in front of Eloise and Camilla. They were hugging and then one was rubbing the back of the other. And then they turned to look at each other and exchanged a quick smooch. It was super cool.

Eloise began screaming a few minutes later as they began to walk towards the glass. I guess she didn't quite grasp the glass wall idea and was genuinely terrified. Ooops.

Easter 2016

Our wonderful neighbors invited Natalie to go to the Ahwatukee Easter Parade with them and their kids and she had a blast. She happened to be wearing Katie's watch and it recorded 14,000 steps by the time she got home at 2pm.

 

This year our neighbor organized the First Annual Kimbersucklewood Easter egg hunt and Easter potluck breakfast on Easter morning. It was a huge success (photo was missing at least 5 kids)!

Grandpa Huxter comes to visit!

Everyone loves a visit from Grandpa! I'm not sure who had more fun, Grandpa or the girls...

Walking to the neighborhood park with Eloise while Natalie was at school.

Grandpa and Natalie read at least 5 of her Fairy books. She can earn a new book each day she gets at least 5 green stickers and no more than 5 red stickers on her behavior chart.

They worked together to plant the garden (peppers, carrots, broccoli, cucumbers and tomatoes)...

And Grandpa was motivated to get Natalie off her little bike and onto her slightly larger bike.

 

Naturally, we had to go to Grandpa and Natalie's favorite restaurant, Zipps.

We went for lots of walks. This time he let Natalie lead the way and pick the turns. It was no surprise when we ended up at the new City park that she loves.
