Bye kids, Grandpa and Grandma are in charge!

While we were in Colorado celebrating Adrienne's birthday, Grandpa Huxter and Grandma Becky were left in charge of the kids. As always, they handled it all and did an amazing job.

Happy Birthday, Adrienne!

For Adrienne's birthday, Scott and Whitney went to Colorado to help her celebrate.  Whitney went a few days early and got to spend a day in the life of Coco.

After a trip to the liquor store and a fun (but chilly) hike, Coco took a nap in the car while we stopped in at Four Noses Brewing.

And then we hit the road, heading for Crested Butte.

Just outside Gunnison, CO. Yes, that is 1:24pm on a sunny day and the temp was 0.

This guy flew into Gunnison and met us at the house in Crested Butte. This is him in the driveway. Now that's a LOT of snow.

First Running Club RACE

Natalie joined the running club at the request of mommy and daddy. She never argued with the idea, but it certainly wasn't her idea. The running club has been practicing before school on Tuesdays and Thursdays since November and Natalie seems to run sometimes but not always (we know this because she comes home with dots on her hand for each 1/4 mile lap she runs).

Grandma Huxter and Grandma Becky arrived just in time for her first race. She was so excited to see them that she didn't even bother changing out of her uniform, she just put her school running club shirt on right over top.

And boy were we all surprised at the award ceremony to learn that she was the 2nd kindergarten girl to finish!! Way to go, Natalie!
